EPIPHANY HAS ARRIVED

Come promesso, il 6 gennaio, puntuale come sempre, la Befana è arrivata lungo le vie del centro cittadino...... anzi, in questo caso dobbiamo dire ...... le Befane sono arrivate.
As promised, on January 6th, on time as usual, Epiphany arrived along the town centre streets...... rather, in such a situation we'd better say ... Epiphanies arrived.

Come da consuetudine, le Befane  - grandi e piccole -  hanno distribuito caramelle ai bambini (ma anche ai grandicelli) e ippocrasso, questo nettare del Medioevo, alle persone adulte.
As usual, Epiphanies  - adult ones and little ones -  distributed toffees to kids (but also to "more grown up" people) and Ippocrasso, such a nectar fron Middle-Ages, to adults.

Nonostante il freddo (ogni tanto tentava di nevicare) le Befane hanno resistito fino a tarda sera, portando serenità e sorrisi alle persone (pochine) presenti.
Despite the freezing cold (now and then a few snow dropped down) Epiphanies resisted till late evening, bringing serenity and smiles to the present people (not so many actually).
